Hi Friends, We can’t believe how quickly we are getting close to the holidays, which of course means we are inching closer to the end of 2025. It is also hard to believe that we are closing in on the end of our second go-round of living outside of the United States. We have managed to keep our original intention at the heart of this nomadic lifestyle, dating different countries and not overly committing to any one location. We are currently in Panama City, Panama, and it has been nice to experience this country for the first time. The downside is that it is the end of their rainy season, and we have never experienced a country where the sky seemingly opens up and dumps buckets of rain on you at any given moment without an ounce of warning or even the slightest change in the sky. Our current plans are to hang around Panama for the next few weeks as there is plenty to explore, and of course, we are off the beaten path. Over the coming weeks, we will be sharing more about our time here, including Panama travel tips, places we are discovering, and what this experience has really been like beyond the surface. If Panama has ever been on your radar, consider this your inside look. The Goal Post is Changing AgainThe goal post is changing again. It feels like society is eating itself alive. No matter where you’re from or your native tongue, it seems to be a universal feeling. A universal conspiracy to strip the AI from humanity and leave us with what is left. A fraction of ourselves, a reduced version of what we once were. There seems to be a cascade of events happening at once in an effort to separate us from our true intention. Can anyone else feel it? The distraction? The overwhelming of our nervous system pushed to the brink? There’s an expected reaction here and while we don’t know what that fully is, it surely feels like this should be a time of deep reflection and stillness before we act in a way that feeds their agenda.
Resource: Using Airline Marketplaces to Build Travel PowerMost people think points only come from flying or credit cards. What rarely gets talked about is that many airlines have their own shopping marketplaces that quietly reward you for everyday spending. If you already fly with airlines like American Airlines, Delta, United, or Southwest, each of them offers a shopping portal where you can earn miles on regular purchases. These include platforms like AAdvantage eShopping, SkyMiles Shopping, MileagePlus Shopping, and Rapid Rewards Shopping. The process is simple. You log into your airline account, enter the marketplace, and shop through their partner stores instead of going directly to the brand site. Each site has different reward offerings so be sure to compare airlines before shopping. Internationally, the same concept applies. British Airways and Iberia use the Avios eStore. Air France and KLM offer the Flying Blue Store. Emirates has Skywards Everyday. Lufthansa runs WorldShop. Qantas has its own shopping and rewards platform as well. All of them function in a similar way. You make purchases you were already planning to make and earn miles or points in return. It is not about spending more. It is about spending smarter with money you had already intended to spend anyway. Instead of that purchase just disappearing into the void, it now works twice by also earning you mileage that can later be used toward flights, upgrades, or future travel opportunities. For those who feel travel is financially out of reach, this is a soft entry point. A way to build momentum without overhauling your routine. Small shifts. Long-term payoff. Hey thereReader, We recently had a conversation where we were discussing the reason everyone doesn’t travel. Now, of course, the financial position goes without saying. I understand that especially in today’s super inflated market things can add up and be a hindrance. When there are enough bills at home, getting away can feel like a daunting task. But our conversation was focused on the people who want to travel, who have the financial means to travel, but don’t. Why don’t they? I then had...
Hey there Reader, We are currently still in Quito, Ecuador after recently returning from a nine day vacation to Manta, Ecuador. It turned out to be the right amount of relaxing, drinking, and beach days that we needed. We are working on a Manta blog that will give you some of the best beaches and restaurants to visit on the coast. In the meantime, we are coming up on our final 180 days allowed in Ecuador and we do not have a full plan yet. We have decided where we will go at least for two...
Hi Fellow Traveling Rebelz, Apologies for the lateness of this newsletter — we’ve had a lot of moving around lately, which made this past month a bit more challenging and has impacted us getting the newsletters out timely. A plan has been set and we will be better. We spent the last month back in Quito after our Chile and Argentina tours (don’t worry, those blogs are coming) before the weather started to cool down. With about a week left before our Airbnb reservation ended, we decided that...
